Open source (the unknown technology)

Part one
Open source software  is a software or system that can be freely distributed, modified or changed. Its a system that is initially developed for humanity as a gift.
In Africa especially many people don’t even know the existence of such technology, that’s why we end of using cracked (pirated) software, without knowing something similarly or exactly of that system is available for free! For example many of us uses pirated Microsoft office suit™ without knowing many systems exists that can deliver almost everything the suit does and it doesn’t cost a penny! Yeah!!! you wont buy any license and its not a trial version or limited version! Example of such suits are Libre office suite, open-office suit etc. Such suits are available online from open-source sites like sourceforge.com
The negative impact of pirated software is you are not entitled  to security patches (This is program created by the software manufacturers to correct an error or to fix a potential problem that one might face when using the software, typical example is when software is installed on a system, it sometimes activate a port that might give hackers access to your system easily0) which are created by the company that created the software, even if you are lucky to receive updates its matter of time the manufacturer will detect and blacklist the software thus making the software useless, although you might uninstall and reinstall the software again using some tricks by cleaning the registry etc, but that is not a best practice especially if security of your system is part of your concern. Again one is not sure whether the crack or activation software is free from infecting the operating system or creating a backdoor(backdoor is a way to connect to a system thru unregistered ports or thru creation of a legal way but that pose a threat to the computer or device).
With open-source software you wont be disturbed by that annoying pop-up messages like you have so and so time to reactivate or you are using a pirated software. Its absolutely free

Microsoft Office for Tablet now on Google Play store

Back in November, Microsoft opened up early previews builds for its new mobile Office applications for Android tablets to those willing to sign up and wait for an invitation. After taking on feedback over the past couple of months, Microsoft has announced that it is expanding its preview scheme by releasing its Office applications to everyone directly through the Google Play Store. The new Office software for mobile unifies Android, IOS, and Windows platforms. Previously each platform had to make do with its own apps, meaning that feature sets differed depending on your operating system and updates were often slow and intermittent. By unifying the Office platform, Microsoft hopes to bring updates and new features to users in a timelier manner. There are still a couple of conditions attached to the preview builds though. Firstly, Office is still limited to ARM-based Android tablets with a screen size between 7 and 10.1 inches. Your tablet will also need to be running Ki...

Ethical Hacking Simplified. Applications of Cryptography

Pretty good Privacy PGP This type of cryptographic Application uses Public key encryption system and  is one of the most popular means of encryption in the world. It is used in securing data, data storage, email, Instant Messaging (instant messaging are messaging system that happens in real time, just like whatsApp, Facebook messenger etc.) and other forms of communication. The early version of this cryptographic application was written by Philip Zimmerman and has it public appearance in 1991. it is part of an open-source project with many version where user can choose the best that suit them. This cryptographic application comes with privacy and security measure that are found in many online systems. The data will travel in an encrypted form (chipertext), upon arriving at the receiving end, the receiving will use PGP to decrypt the data back to plaintext. PGP uses the Public/Private key encryption. Where the sender uses his public key to encrypt data, and the receiver ...
